special guest: AMIR MUHAMMAD
Tomorrow, March 12th from 9am-10pm on WRFU-LP 104.5, we will have special guest Amir Muhammad, scholar and president of the Collections & Stories of American Muslims along with the hosts of Daughters of Eve (Saturdays 11-12pm), Sister Patsy and Sister Takeya. Mr. Muhammad will be discussing the history of American Muslims and the work of his organization to remember, preserve and teach their legacy. We recently did a show with Daughters of Eve about this topic HERE.
Sunday 3/9 and Monday 3/10 @ The Central Illinois Mosque and Islamic Center, Mr. Muhammad will be lecturing on and showing "Muslims in America: A History", a traveling documents and photography exhibit. A history of the Muslims from the pre-slave period, to Civil Rights, to the significance of the Nation of Islam, and current times.
